explaining the substitution method :
2x+4y=8
3x+y=-13
start with the y that has 1 for a coefficent
then start to solve it by geting the y to the other side to get it into y=mx+b form
3x+y=-13
y=-3x-13
now you have what equals y so you can substitute it into the next equation
2x+4y=8
2x+4(-3x-13)=8
then solve
2x-12x-52=8
collect like terms
-10x=8+52
-10x=60
then divide to get x by itself
-10x/-10=60/-10
then x by itself
x=-6
then plug that in to either equation to get the y intercept to ge the ordered pair
2x+4y=8
2(-6)+4y=8
-12+4y=8
12-12+4y=8+12
4y/4=20/4
therefore y=5
then the ordered pair would be
(-6,5)

Reflection 1
Reflection: I was very confused at the start with all the calculator stuff but i think i can pick it up as i go along. At least i got the logic part i kinda wish all math was that simple to understand.so far so good.....
